LEBANON, N.H (June 22, 2018) -- Dalbello introduces the 2018/2019 ski boot collection, with boots fit for any mountain.

The 2018-2019 line’s most distinguished gear includes GripWalk, a new way to make walking in ski boots easier and more comfortable, the new DS series of boots, and the Lupo series. A leader in ski boot design since the 1970s, Dalbello’s Italian born hand craftsmanship, supported by a family culture and athlete input have fueled the brands growth in recent seasons.

This winter’s most notable innovations include:

GripWalk - We see a future in which many more skiers will enjoy the benefits of easier and safer walkability in ski boots. Dalbello and all the GripWalk partners (a full list is at www.grip-walk.com) are offering more models than ever with GripWalk soles pre-installed, and all Völkl ski/binding systems in the 18/19 collection are now GripWalk ready, meaning they can accommodate either alpine soles or GripWalk (AT norm) soles. New for 2018 is GripWalk Junior, making further progress toward making the sport easier to learn by making it easier for even the youngest skiers to walk around the resort. The GripWalk boot sole itself, available from many suppliers including Dalbello, has a convex shape and ribbed tread with rubber soles, adding walking comfort and providing much better grip. Integrated pads made of stiff, rigid materials guarantee great power transmission and precise release function of the binding.

The DS - The Brand new Dalbello DS series stands out by delivering optimum all day comfort in a high performance, 100 m last, 4 buckle overlap boot. Comfort can also be enhanced with lighter weight, so our Italian designers devised a bi-injected Power Cage construction that consists of a hard PU frame integrated with a second injection for a lighter weight, slimmer-looking design with great power transmission, cosmetic appeal, and ease of entry/exit. Rearward support is enhanced by an ABS plate integrated in the cuff. On the lower part of the shell, a special, textured surface provides the power transmission of a thicker material without the added weight. The DS 130 is the flagship, with the rest of the series covering a wide range of flexes and price points.

The Lupo Factory - The Lupo Factory combines category-leading climbing capability with the ultimate freeskiing performance on the ride down. Utilizing the popular Krypton architecture, this boot comes with tech inserts, a full carbon cuff, and a removable Kinetic Response Tongue that goes on and off in an instant. With the tongue removed and the boot in hike mode, the skier enjoys a full 67 degree range of motion for a long stride while climbing. Thanks to the carbon cuff and the Grillamid Green material in the lower shell, the weight is just 1625 grams per boot with the tongue removed. Unlike the many traditional overlap boots in its category, the Lupo's Cabrio 3 Piece design does not require any modification of the lower shell to enable a hike mode, so the skier enjoys legendary freeride performance with the boot returned to ski mode for the descent. The ID Max Hike liner is thermo-moldable for the ultimate custom fit, and like all ID liners offers lightweight and optimal warmth.
